Research and Empathize

Before starting the redesign, I researched the current Roblox design as well as its past iterations. I explored user opinions on both the current and previous designs and discovered that many users missed the colorful and vibrant style of the 2015 design, feeling that the current design lacks those qualities.

Ideate

After gathering enough information on my users and their feedback, I performed a competitive audit, analyzing competitor websites to identify trends, what works, and what doesn't.

The Designs

For the redesign, I introduced a new dark theme, which is particularly popular with younger generations, to give the site a sleek and modern look. I also incorporated vibrant colors (red, yellow, green, and blue) to appeal to younger kids. Additionally, I eliminated redundancies in the dropdown menu and reorganized the remaining options into a secondary navigation bar for easier access. To further enhance user engagement, I enlarged the "Top Experiences Today" section to create emphasis for promotion and boost the click-through rate. I also moved the language option to the top-right corner to improve accessibility for users worldwide.
